Google announced new updates for its Notebook LM. Now you can get a summary of YouTube content! Notably, Notebook LM is Google’s AI-based research and note-taking model.
On September 26, Thursday, the tech giant said in an official blog that they will allow NotebookLM to summarize Youtube audio and video files. The update can also help to share these summaries across teams.
Notebook LM gets updated
According to an official blog NotebookLM will allow you to get summaries of YouTube videos and audio files. The update can also create AI-generated audio discussions which can be shared. Initially, the NotebookLM was launched last year during the I/O developer event. It made its first debut only for the US markets. Now it will be available to the Indian market.In addition to this, it will also be available to the UK market and other 200 countries.
The company claimed that this new update will help to expand the use cases of NotebookLM. Also you can share the audio overview with just a public URL. So, how can you use this feature? Here’s how you can use it:
- First go to the NotebookLM. Then you will get a share icon.
- Next click on the share icon available on the ‘Audio overview’ generated by NotebookLM.
- You will get a URL. Now copy that.
- Now you are all set to share the ‘Audio overview”.
Google further claimed that NotebookLM is quite famous among people. Furthermore, “Professionals are uploading web pages, resumes, and even their presentations on NotebookLM to generate Audio Overviews, then sharing those with their employers, colleagues, or clients,” Raiza Martin, a senior product manager for AI, Google Labs, said to TechCrunch. She further added that people are sharing their NotebooksLM. Looks like they are creating a network of their own!
