2023 Tata Harrier facelift variants explained: Which one to buy?

Tata Motors has categorised the 2023 Harrier facelift into four broad trims namely Smart, Pure, Adventure and Fearless.

After launching facelifted models of Nexon and Nexon EV, Tata Motors is now gearing up to launch the Harrier and Safari facelifts. Both mid-size SUVs have been revealed in their entirety, barring their prices which are expected to be announced in the next couple of weeks.

While Tata Motors hasn’t made any updates to the powertrain offered in both models, the SUVs flaunt new exterior design and boast of some new features. The company is offering the Harrier facelift in four trims namely Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Fearless along with optional packages bundled with several features with ‘+’ or ‘A’ suffixes.  

Let us look at the different variants available with the 2023 Harrier facelift and what each variant has to offer.

2023 Tata Harrier facelift Dark Edition

In addition to the variants mentioned above, Tata Motors will also offer the 2023 Harrier facelift in Dark Edition models. Carrying an exclusive all-black Persona theme both on its exterior and interior, the Harrier Dark Edition will be available on Adventure+, Fearless and Fearless+ in its facelifted avatar. Dark Edition variants of Harrier facelift will also come with  19-inch blacked-out alloy wheels.

2023 Tata Harrier facelift powertrain specs

The facelifted Harrier will be offered exclusively with a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine that develops 168 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque. This motor will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Contrary to rumours, there will be no petrol engine on offer, at least at the time of its launch.
