Adobe has announced its 2025 Creative Trends Forecast, identifying key trends shaping the creative landscape for the coming year. The Fantastic Frontiers trend focuses on imaginative and surreal visuals that merge technology and culture. The report reveals that this trend leverages generative AI and digital world-building, drawing from gaming and other digital media to create dreamlike, limitless images. It highlights the growing consumer appetite for exploring uncharted, fantastical worlds. Traditional and AI-generated content are both embracing this shift.

Furthermore, Levity and Laughter explore humour as a tool to make content more engaging and relatable. Adobe revealed that 90% of consumers are more likely to remember funny ads over serious ones and 52% of category-winning films at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival were comedies. Citing the universal appeal of comedy, Adobe notes its increasing prevalence in marketing and branding. Humour enhances consumer connections, making brands feel more human while addressing serious topics in a lighthearted, shareable way. This trend reflects an increased focus on casual and playful online interactions. The forecast also highlights Time Warp, a trend blending retrofuturism with elements from various historical periods. Fueled by generative AI and consumer nostalgia, this aesthetic juxtaposes vintage and futuristic styles, appealing to younger audiences who show interest in eras they never experienced, the company stated.

Finally, Immersive Appeal addresses the demand for multisensory, interactive experiences, leveraging technologies like world-building and experiential campaigns to create profound, engaging interactions.
