Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced the cancellation of Rs 500 to Rs 1,000. In a sudden address to the nation he said that the step has been taken to curb black money in the country. He added that this was done has most of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 were found to be black. He added that people having these notes can replace them from November 10-30. People can go to bank to replace them, however they need to carry their proper identity cards as well. A new Rs 500 and Rs 2000 note will be introduced in few months. He also added that for next two days all ATMs will be closed while backs will be closed for only tomorrow. Till next 72 hours people can use these notes in hospitals, petrol pumps and Safal stores.
